You've reached the Internet(s) home of Sanity Check Musec, Inc. (SCM). We've maintained an online presence, of some sort or another since the early-mid 1990s. We've resided at the SanityCheck.net domain for well over a decade.
I formed SCM in 1989. SCM is incorporated in the commonwealth of Virginia. I formed the corporation for the sole purpose of satisfying the legal requirements of offering up my artistic endeavors. As those endeavors are often related to music, the primary focus of the corporation is to function as an independent record label and publishing company. However SCM is really an umbrella corporation built to facilitate whatever artistic whimsy I might be inclined to pursue. In 1999 we formed the Naked Acre Compound Films subsidiary of Sanity Check Musec, Inc. as a vehicle for my filmmaking efforts.
At different times throughout the years SCM has been the home to a variety of independent artists - usually friends with whom I was inclined to work or artists whose work appealed to me and left me inclined to try to help them. For the most part, however, SCM is a "vanity label" offering my music or flix or the like. Although I do occasionally assist my friends with their album releases we are not looking to release the work of other artists through SCM.
Over the years I've published a notable amount of records under various monikers, to include: BLUE, Church Of Chaos, METAL MACHINE and currently Booze Monkey. If you're curious, feel free to read my discography. In recent years I've settled on publishing my music as Booze Monkey though I still use my own name when composing and recording film scores.
SCM is a truly independent label. I create my recordings in my own home studio in the boonies of VA and my significantly better half, Christina, is the one who really keeps Sanity Check running.
