Origins
While living in his parents basement in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, Blue formed Sanity Check Musec, Inc. in 1989 to act as both a publishing company and a record label.
He released his first album Welcome to the Nineties in 1990 on CD and cassette. It was distributed worldwide by Dutch East India. He has recorded and self-published ever since.
In addition to his rock & roll endeavors, Blue began composing and producing soundtracks in the early 1990s, beginning with the cable access television show, The Third Side. This led to scoring the documentary Project Face to Face in 1992. The film premiered in the Smithsonian Museum of Modern Art accompanying an interactive art exhibit.
Blue performed live throughout the 1990s with a revolving roster of musicians as Blue & the Jaded. He and Jaded bassist Joel Ludwig would also perform regularly as an acoustic duo - often billed as “The Blue Acoustic Duo” or just “Blue & Joel” between Jaded gigs.
