Blue’s Professional Bio Page 6
Denton
Blue and Christina found Denton, Texas, to be a wonderful fit. They quickly felt fully at home there.
The music and arts scene in Denton is remarkable and features some of the most creative, talented, varied and impassioned musicians anyone could expect to find.
Also, food, craft beer, t-shirts, pottery, murals, coffee, etc... etc...
Notably they found the scene very welcoming. Blue performed more in 2019 than any year before. He performed multiple times a week on average, invigorated by the creative energy concentrated in the little city.
He performed solo and with a variety of other Denton musicians. Blue “joined” the Denton Songwriters Guild, hosted a series of songwriter rounds, played drums for Nils Jordan Bishop & the Drunken Armadillos, formed Little Pillars with fellow singer-songwriter Rache Ann, played electric guitar with Bone Doggie & the Denton Music Collective for Denton’s Day of the Dead festival and ultimately became the host of the weekly music open mic at Killer’s Tacos. The Little Pillars began rehearsing with an exceptional rhythm section as the new year began.

Denton Day of the Dead Festival, 2019

Host of the open mic at Killer’s Tacos, 2019/2020.

Pillars of Denton, 2020. This would have been extraordinary.
2020 brought a pandemic.
The Iron Fish
Blue and Christina are both very fond of Denton. After a year and a half of fully immersing themselves in the city north of normal, they purchased a small house in Denton in 2020.
Blue describes himself as “gleefully Dentonian”.
