Hey there, Wonderful
Hope you are well
I was just thinking ‘bout ya
nothing to tell
You can hit me back if you are so inclined
but don’t feel obligated I’m doing fine
The thought it did occur to me
that it’s been a while
and you should know the thought of you
it brings me a smile
you can hit me back if you are so inclined
but don’t feel obligated I’m doing fine
Please tell you-know-who
that I send my “hello”
& pass my regards to the friends we both know
you can hit me back if you are so inclined
but don’t feel obligated I’m doing fine
Smooches plus toodles
equals Smoodles you know
so Smoodles to you, Wonderful
but I’ve gotta go
Smoodles to you, Wonderful
XX OO

Coming down the road
fully loaded
tip tap past the land mine
not yet exploded
gonna do the crime
don’t fear no sentence
got a pocket full of bullets
and a head full of intent
Junko Joe & the Angola Blues Band - 4x
He got a “what’s that smell?” sneer
& a tongue for gallows humor
made his buddies breaking boulders
under gun Louisiana
he got a sharpened tooth brush
& the man done taught him patience
scratch a marker on the cell wall
meditate upon his vengeance
Junko Joe & the Angola Chain Gang - 4x
Junko Joe gonna meet his executioner
Gonna swing beneath 13 coils of hemp
Junko Joe say he had every right to do it
His final words were, “I have nothing to repent.”
Junko Joe & the Angola Hang Man - 3x
His final words were, “I have nothing to repent.” - 4x

Arsenic & Absinthe, yeah
Arsenic & Scotch
Pass the champagne bottle
put an oldie on the box
Line up former lovers
spin the bottle in the round
She’s a sexy evil genius
and someone’s going down
She’s a sexy evil genius - 3x
A sexy evil genius and someone’s going down
Her eye makeup is dark
Her eyes are even darker
Though poison is her preference
She got a pistol in her garter
Pleading for their lives
but she’s in no mood to barter
Even if she’s crazy
there’s no doubt that she’s smarter
She’s a sexy evil genius - 3x
A sexy evil genius and someone’s going down
Someone call an ambulance, yeah
Dial 911
Stilettos click, she struts away
too elegant to run
In the aftermath we try to see
the tapestry she’d spun
Even if this was no game
it’s clear that she had won
She’s a sexy evil genius.

First impressions wary
but you’re clearly here to take
Posturing and kicking dust
but I detect a shake
I’ll stop myself short
of calling you a fake
but you’re a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
Your confidence is boisterous
but seems at best half-baked
I’ll bet you’ve left collapsed soufflés
littering your wake
I’ll stop myself short
of calling you a fake
but you’re a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
You have me thinking of a vampire
running with a wooden stake
But a stumble then responsible
Hey arrogance meet fate!
I’ll stop myself short
of calling you a fake
but you’re a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
a bit too much icing
& not enough cake
You’re about as useful
as a backpack to a snake
it seems that there should be
a bit more protein on this plate
this job requires a shovel
and all you got’s a rake…

I love coochie on a Wednesday
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love Sunday hot tub Bloody Marys
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love jalapeño cocktail olives
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love to motorboat the Boobies!
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love a single malt’s bouquet, yeah!
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love my rail bourbon baby
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love getting drunk in the morning
with my rail bourbon baby
getting drunk in the morning
with my rail bourbon baby
getting drunk in the morning
with my rail bourbon baby
She’s my rail bourbon baby
she’s my last call doll
toe to toe & shot for shot
she truly had it all
I love the blend of gin & vermouth
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love to give my sweetie pearl necklace
I love getting drunk in the morning
I lovce coochie on a Thursday
I love getting drunk in the morning
I love to motorboat the Boobies! - 3x

Lost in words & methods
I’m just trying to connect
Do you know what I am feeling?
You’re just trying to connect
Can you know what I am feeling?
We’re just trying to connect
Did I just say this correctly?
I’m just trying to connect
Was this public or private?
You’re just trying to connect
Did I want this to be private?
We’re just trying to connect
Is this happening in real time?
I’m just trying to connect
This might just be a moment.
You’re just trying to connect
Should I capture this for later?
We’re just trying to connect
I think I want to say this.
I’m just trying to connect
Are these words appropriate?
You’re just trying to connect
I probably shouldn’t say this.
We’re just trying to connect
I probably shouldn’t say this,
but we’re all just trying to connect

Breaking cold hard ground on a cold grey day
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave
Shoveling earth through fog & haze
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave
Tears done cried life gone away
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave
Been here before, few words to day
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave
Here is the spot where love shall lay
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave
Breaking cold hard ground on a cold grey day
Shoveling earth through fog & haze
Tears done dried, life gone away
Been here before, no words to say
A broken man digs a January Grave
This is the spot, this is the spot
This is the spot where love shall lay
A broken man digs a January grave
A broken man digs a January grave

Like a nickel holding up a dollar
A paper pedestal beneath a scholar
The bully behind the tin
We can’t let the terrorists win
Like a dime holding up a dollar
Indentured secure their own collar
There are no moral greys
distant dots just appear as a haze
Like a quarter three short of a dollar
The shadows are always taller
The torches & the pitchforks rule
The jesters are shunning the fool
they’re shunning the fool
Like a penny holding down a dollar
The noise drowning out the holler
Biology should not bring shame
Corrupted thinking is always to blame
Like the bullets holding up a dollar
The guns that demand the foller
Obedience is not the same
as complicity to share in the shame
